Ben-Gurion was named one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Important People of the Century.

This currently unpublished image was taken in 1971 at his Kibbutz Sde Boker, Israel. Ben-Gurion was photographed while sitting in a chair on the lawn next to his home, two years before his death. He was thoughtfully enjoying answering questions from a group of young Jewish American college students.
